Yes singer Jon Anderson employs VoiceLive on solo tour
![]()
Early in 2005, Jon had an ambitious plan to do a one man show that would captivate and entertain his audiences. Not one to merely strum an acoustic guitar and sing for an hour, he divided the show into sections and employed various technologies to provide an interesting sonic backdrop for his songs. VoiceLive came to his attention as the perfect conduit through which he could create his signature vocal harmonies.
Jon knew that he had a choice between using MIDI or the automatic scale-based methods to cueVoiceLive. Rather than having to contend with the rigid timing and fixed arrangements of a MIDI sequencer, he chose the unusual technique of playing a MIDI-equipped semi-acoustic guitar! This, he felt, gave him the sound he wanted as well as the ability to re-arrange songs at will and follow the natural tempo best suited for the performance and crowd each night.
You’ll be able to catch Jon on the continuation of his “Jon Anderson SOLO Work In Progress Tour Of The Universe” tour in the US starting November 2nd. For details and schedule, visit his website:www.jonanderson.com.
