Rich Reverb

Often the reverb effect found in stomp boxes or in all-in-one mixers does little more than add mud to your vocals. You can trust the reverb effect in Create because it comes from TC Electronic, a company with a long and successful history in reverb processing. Stepping on Create’s On button will give you the sense of space that adds warmth to your vocal whether you’ve chosen a long tail for a ballad or a shorter one for an uptempo song.

Finding the Right Sound Quickly

When you first get your hands on Create, you’re likely going to want to use it right away so we put the most useful presets right up front in the Performance buttons. We figure that not all singers understand complex effect chains or how to set them up so we did the work for you. We even made searching for sounds a little easier by ordering many of them by music style. All you do is choose a Performance or twirl the Patch selector control to enjoy the broad selection of new sounds to enhance your voice.

Live Performance Control

You’re probably going to want to use several different preset sounds in your performances so we gave you several painless ways to access them. Once you’ve found the presets you like with the Patch control, these can be saved to any of the Performance buttons. Each of the five Performances has an A and B setting that you can recall with the A/B footswitch. When you want to toggle between two sounds only, pressing the A/B footswitch makes it easy. When you want access to other Performances from a standing position, you can hold the A/B footswitch, tap to the next Performance, hold again and the next pair are ready.

Doubling Too

Many of the presets use the Thicken effect from the µMod (micromod) block to evoke the sound of you singing in layered unison or doubling. Essentially, the pitch of your voice is detuned on the left and right sides to create the light chorusing that tightly doubled vocals can have. Of course, for the most natural doubling effects, you could add VoiceTone Double, but Create is a great first step towards using a doubling sound.

Mild to Wild

Every now and then pretty much everyone likes to break out of the mold and for those that do, we put in some out-there effects in addition to the standard suite. Nothing will catch your listener’s attention quicker than calling up a megaphone sound to sing through courtesy of the Transducer bank of presets. The Special FX bank is full of interesting ear-catching sounds that you can sprinkle into your sets such as “Bathtub Cylon” and “Percolating Robot”.
