Mic Control using TC-Helicon’s modern performance vocal microphone MP-75 comes to VoiceLive Touch in firmware version 1.1. The update also includes a number of other improvements.

See a quick intro to Mic Control using MP-75:

New Features:

Mic Control with MP-75:
The latest edition of VoiceLive Touch firmware adds Mic Control. Using the switch on MP-75 a number of top level parameters can be controlled from your mic. It’s easy to configure:
1. In the SETUP menu set the PHANTOM POWER parameter to MIC CONTROL.
2. Connect MP-75.

To configure which parameter is controlled using Mic Control:
1. While PRESS and HOLDING the switch on MP-75, tap the SLIDER on VoiceLive Touch, then press any button that you want to control.
2. Release the MP-75 switch
The parameters you can control are:
- Any combination of the six effect blocks
- Up to four of the voicing buttons
- TALK button
- Single Button looper – by pressing RECORD or PLAY
- Cycle between FAVORITES by pressing any FAVORITE

Delay:
- Added MIDI as a delay tempo source.

Fixes:
- Fix to MIDI transpose.

- Fixed issue where set key wouldn’t time out properly in some cases with footswitch.
- Loop feedback now works properly on all looping modes and is not reset.
- Fixed  a rare first chord ignore problem in pitch detection.
- Fix to pitch shifter which could produce artifacts with pitch correction or harmonies.

    • Hi Nikolay,

      To quote Joey below:
The best way to do this is to use the VoiceSupport application which can be downloaded from the TC-Helicon website here:-

      http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicesupport/

When you connect your VoiceLive Touch via USB to your computer, the VoiceSupport application will tell you which firmware you are currently running and also give you the ability to upgrade via the firmware tab.”

      Cheers,
      Craig

  4. Hi I’m Ushera from Malaysia. I know you don’t deliver to Malaysia, so questions are: where is the nearest neighbouring country can I get it delivered to? And I am also curious what’s the price like? Does this version 1.1 comes with the mic as well? Look forward to your reply!

    Ushera

    • Hiya Ushera,

Good news, we do have a distributor in Malaysia who should be able to help you. You can contact them via the following link:

      http://www.team108.com

Unfortunately the VoiceLive Touch doesn’t come bundled with the mic as standard. Regarding price, hopefully the guys above should be able to provide you with this info :) .

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  5. Hello, is it possible to get an idea of when to expect the next update and what it will contain please? I am really hoping for a few more fx parameter controls. Delay feedback, Reverb time, Gate threshold ideally. I understand that deeper fx control is more in the Voicelive 2 territory but I really think these adjustments are essential for the Touch to be considered professional. Thanks, Gaz

    • Hiya Gaz,

      Thanks for your feedback!

Unfortunately I am unable to give you an indication of what the next update will contain at this time. We will definitely communicate this to the community though as soon as possible :) .

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  6. In the headphones out of the voicelivetouch, I notice reverb behaves different from left/right outputs. Is it normal?
    Thanks

    • Hiya Julian,

      This doesn’t sound right…

I would definitely encourage you to contact TC-Helicon’s support team so they can troubleshoot this with you. You can get in touch with them via the following link:

  7. Since i’ve updated my Voicelive touch to 1.1.0.0 the Aux level reverts back to -20db everytime it’s unplugged. So everytime I use it I have to manually turn the level to off as I only use the aux input to control harmonies but not in the mix. Why is it doing this?
    Thanks

    • Hiya Tim,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is indeed a bug and is queued for a fix in an upcoming update.

      Best wishes,

      Joey

      • Thanks for your reply Joey. There are another couple of things I’ve noticed since upgrading to 1.1.0.0 – I normally use the pitch correction around 40% but I am finding that there are sometimes sound artifacts (sounds like I have a sore/raspy voice) especially when using harmonies, when the VLT has been in use for a while. So much so that I have it turned off now & it sounds perfect. Also I find that sometimes the favorite presets can change on their own, at first I thought I must of touched them by accident but then I’ve noticed them actually changing by themselves (i.e. from preset favorite 1 to 3). There are no scratches on the touch pad.
By the way, please develop a single long delay echo (I don’t know the propper terms but I mean one that will repeat just once when activated i.e. on the last word of a song line) It would be great if this could be set to trigger automatically when the singing stops.
        Thanks again
        Tim

      • Hiya Tim,

It sounds like you are having some issues there. A couple of sugestions:

        1) It may be worth reloading the firmware onto the unit and seeing if this makes any difference especially in regards to the issue you mentioned with pitch correction.

        2) Are you using a phantom powered mic? If so, you should make sure that mic control is set to off as this may be changing your favourites if you’re not using an MP-75.

If neither of these solutions fix the issue I would certainly check in with TC-Helicon’s support team so they can help you get to the bottom of this:

        http://www.tc-helicon.com/support.asp

Regarding your suggestion – “By the way, please develop a single long delay echo (I don’t know the propper terms but I mean one that will repeat just once when activated i.e. on the last word of a song line) It would be great if this could be set to trigger automatically when the singing stops.”

You may want to send this using the Share an Idea link on the TC-Helicon website too as this goes directly to the desk of everyone who works at TC-Helicon and is the best way to get your ideas heard!

  8. Hello,

What do you mean by “Added MIDI as a delay tempo source”? Does it mean I can plug a midi footswitch to control tap tempo (that would be great!)? How do I enable the function then? Any midi footswitch would do?

    Thanks for a great device!

    JB

    • Hiya Jean-Baptiste,

MIDI as a delay tempo source is used for example when you need to sync your delay to an external source (i.e. DAW, Multitracker, Arranger Keyboard etc.). In this case, it won’t function as a tap delay contrller via a MIDI footswitch.

      Hope this makes sense.

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  9. Hello, I just plugged in my Voicelive Touch to my PC and launched Voice Support. It still shows the old version 1.0.0.1 so is the new 1.1 version not yet released, or hiding elsewhere? Thanks!

  10. Is it possible for me to print out the preset control features so that I have a paper copy to refer to when accessing my choices on my LiveTouch?
    Thanks,
    Gary
