VoiceLive Play GTX – No Amp Factory Bank

We’ve had requests from VoiceLive Play GTX owners for a way to disable the amp modeling on each preset, while still allowing all the other effects to process.

Although it’s something you could do manually by changing all the presets yourself, we wanted to give a little helping hand.

So, here’s a VoiceLive Play GTX Factory Bank with the guitar presets all set to “Acoustic Amp” (no modeling), drive/level at zero and speaker roll-off set at max. These settings will allow you to output a non-modeled guitar signal that still carries all of the uMod, Delay and Reverb. You can still adjust Compression and EQ settings to taste.

This preset pack is called Factory No Amp and is available via VoiceSupport

You can drag/drop the new bank over the old factory bank, or you can put it after those presets and keep both!

Happy guitar-er-ing!

  1. Hi,

I am from india and bought this VoiceLive Play GTX from USA. I am using this VoiceLive Play with Bose L1 Compact and it sounds great. I have 3 requests:

    1. I plug my Ovation Celebrety Acoustic guitar to the VLP GTX but the tone is very sharp in almost all the presets. Is there any easier tone equalizing technique which we can use.

    2. I Use Shure SM-58 Mic with it. Can you give any specific presets for tonal quality with this mic so that the vocals sound much better.

    3. I cannot find any graphic equilizer on the machine. Can you provide one in the next software update.

    Thanks,

    Vikram Sharma

    • Hi Vikram,

You might be a good candidate for Global Guitar FX (setup menu). With an acoustic, you can set up and EQ your guitar in the guitar effect block and have that setting apply to all presets.

Alternatively, we just released a “no amp” factory preset bank, which is available via VoiceSupport, if you want different effects like delay/reverb, uMod per preset, but don’t want the amp modeling/drive.

      Hope that helps!
