  1. If I purchase the lite version, is there a way in app to upgrade to the full version so it still totals $7 or do I pay $1 for lite and then $7 for the full if I like it?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Jenny,

Yep you can upgrade to the full version from within the app :)

  2. Hi, I just purchased VoiceJam from the iStore and also the plug-ins C1 and R1 on my iPad.
After syncing with iTunes I can also use VoiceJam on my iPhone, so the VoiceJam App has been transfered to my iPhone but the plug-ins are not, and activating C1 or R1 results in a window telling me to purchase the plug-ins again. That bust be a mistake because I already bought them, cab you please help me out…..

    Regards Wim

    • Hi Wim,

Although it says you’ll be charged for the C1 and R1, it just goes through the purchase “process” and then properly activates the plugins without charging you any money. Go ahead and accept the “purchase”.

  3. Hi! This app is amazing!… But I have one question, can I export files to mp3??? I´ve made some good stuff and i need it in that format…

    • Hi Axel,

When you share your loops from VoiceJam to Sound Cloud, you can enable downloads for the file. Sound Cloud will output a .caf file that you can convert to mp3.

This eHow article might help: http://www.ehow.com/how_5085693_convert-caf-mp3.html

You’ll just need to set up a free Sound Cloud account to upload the music.

      Hope that helps!

      Cheers,
      Craig

  4. What’s the difference between VoiceJam and VoiceJam Lite?

    • Hiya Nightwatch,

The difference between the two versions is in the availability of some features. VoiceJam Lite is missing the following compared to the full version:

      – 6 Loop Orbs for building song structure or triggering samples.
      – Performance Flyover with Mic Mute, Dry Mute, Overdub Fadeout slider, and Loop mixer.
      – Shots Mode with instant loop trigger and audio scrubbing.
      – Store and Recall all 6 loops.
      – Transfer loops / performances to and from 3rd party apps supporting the AudioCopyPaste open standard.

      Hope this helps!

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  5. I just bought this app and I recorded once then it crashed and won’t come back up. The red light just blinks, the voice circle graph is frozen. Should I dump it and reload it?
    Help

    • Hiya Jojo,

The best thing to do would be to contact TC-Helicon’s support team so they can work with you to get this issue sorted.

You can reach them via http://www.tc-helicon.com/support.asp

Sorry I was unable to help this time… do let me know how you get on.

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  6. Great start for the app. However, the output volume is waaaaay too LOW! please fix this on the next update. Thanks

    • Watch for a 1.1 update this week that addresses that issue and adds a few nifty new features.

  7. I’ve downloaded VoiceJam on my iPhone 3, and I can’t find the tutorial. The info button (i) il blinking and when I tap it the program crashes. Why is that?

  8. Me parece una app muy interesante, y creo que se deberían de implementar las siguientes funciones:

Importación de ficheros de audio (wav, aiff, mp3) . para poder utilizarlos en la creación de ideas.

    Exportación via wifi.

    Mute Mic ON/OFF

Gracias por este tipo de app.

  9. I’m using an iphone4 and I’ve downloaded the app a couple of days a go and I think its a great start.

    1) For me though I have an issue around the volume levels of recordings. When I plug a headset in it I can just about hear it. If I use it without the headset I can barely hear it from the speaker as well as the levels are minuscule. I think some ability to manage levels is required as my other sampling apps work fine.
    2) Mixing doesn’t appear to work as far as I can tell
    3) Some simple audio effects would be nice, chorus, delay?

Like I say I think its good but the only concern I have is that since tc-helicon isnt a software house can we expect updates? this is a real worry for me.
    thanks

  10. I’d love to see this one for Android as well.

  11. What about the Android version ?!
If you need someone to port the iPhone version to Android, give me a call ;-)

    • Just get a real iPhone, sheez.

They’re on ATT and Verizon now, aren’t they?

iPhones have the serious hardware, converters, audio API’s, etc.

    • PLEASE CAN YOU PORT VOICE JAM TO ANDROID!!~

  12. I downloaded the new VoiceJam iPhone app yesterday and am impressed with it. It’s a lot of fun and I am looking forward to creating some interesting music with it. I do have a few comments:

    1. I’d like to see the ability to mute the microphone when using the Performance Recorder (ie when I do NOT want to add anything to the existing loops). If there is any ambient noise when using Peformance Recording, it tends to get picked up and added to the Performance. Adding a MUTE MIC option during Performance Recording would be a welcome addition.

    2. Use of SoundCloud — nice integration here, but I’d like to see a future release provide the user with some other options (such as uploading it to my wireless network in .WAV format). That way, I could do further processing of the loop (ie within a DAW or mastering software) before it is posted to online sites. The ability to upload to other online sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) might be useful for other users as well.

    3. Can external microphones also be used? Please advise.

    All in all, well done!!!
