TC-Helicon updates VoiceSupport application with Online Preset Library

VoiceSupport
TC-Helicon today announced the immediate availability of an update to its USB enabled connectivity app called VoiceSupport. Version 1.2 of VoiceSupport adds an Online Preset Library that makes freely available a series of professionally produced presets for TC-Helicon products. It also includes numerous enhancements and tweaks to further streamline the free Mac/Windows application.

The Online Preset Library allows drag-and-drop ease of use and brings professionally authored preset libraries to TC-Helicon products such as VoiceLive 2, VoiceLive Touch, VoiceTone Create XT, and more. Dozens of new presets are available now and more will be added on a regular basis.

VoiceSupport’s Home page has been reformatted to include latest news, advice and direct access to the latest manual versions. VoiceSupport continues to offer video, articles and tips on using TC-Helicon products in addition to singing in general, provided by www.voicecouncil.com

“VoiceSupport is a simple tool that lets singers get more from their TC-Helicon products and learn more about honing their craft,” says TC-Helicon product manager Tom Lang. “This update gives simple access to what helps singers become more creative – great presets.”

The free update is available now at www.tc-helicon.com/voicesupport/

    • Hiya Scott,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Create XT. With this specific problem I would recommend that you contact TC-Helicon’s support team so they can troubleshoot with you further. You can contact them via the link below:

      http://www.tc-helicon.com/support.asp

Do let us know how you get on.

      Best wishes,

  3. Do you have a roadmap of features that will be available or are under development for VoiceSupport? Specifically, when will you develop a tool that will allow users to edit/create VoiceLive effects on their mac/PC and upload them to the unit.

What would be even better is to move the user interface (UI) to the iPad. Or even better, publish the API spec so others could develop the UI for you.

    • Hiya Mark,

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. We really value you taking the time to do so.

Unfortunately we don’t have a specific roadmap for this which we can publish. However, we endeavour to update our products and advise our users as early as possible.

I will certainly forward your comments to the team on your behalf.

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  4. My windows 7 laptop will not recognize the Harmony G XT via the USB port. It states that no device drivers can be found. Where can I get the Windows 7 drivers for the Harmony-G XT

    • Hiya Greg,

This doesn’t sound right. When using the VoiceSupport application your computer should recognise the Harmony-G XT as a connected device. Are you using the latest version of the application. If not, you can download it here:

      http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicesupport/

If you are still having issues with this I would suggest contacting TC-Helicon’s support department so they can troubleshoot this with you:

Please do let me know how you get on.

OK, I got the Harmony G-XT recognized by my Windows 7 PC and I have updated the firmware to allow for MP-75 control. I only seem to be able to turn on and off the harmonies with the control button. Is there a way to step through the presets using the Harmony G-XT and the MP-75 control button?

        Thanks!

      • Hiya Greg,

Yes, you can definitely step through presets using the MP-75 control buton. Here are the instructions for this taken from the MP-75 manual:

Mic Control in VOICETONE products: Create XT, Harmony-G XT, Correct XT and Synth
These products all share the same procedure for enabling Mic Control. Phantom power and footswitch
selection will remain in effect over subsequent power ups.
To enable Mic Control in VoiceTone products:
        1. Connect the MP-75 mic to the VoiceTone’s Mic input then apply power.
        2. Enable phantom power by holding the two buttons below the “48V” legend for a moment. The Mic
Control switch on the mic will now activate the right side footswitch on your product.

To select which footswitch is activated by Mic Control in VoiceTone products:
        1. On the row of buttons above the footswitches, hold the second and third buttons from the left. The
footswitch that is currently controlled will blink. Continue holding the buttons.
        2. Tap the mic switch to toggle between the two footswitch options.
        3. Release the second and third buttons to exit.

        Hope this helps!

        Best wishes,

        Joey

        Thanks again Joey,

I attempted to make the settings changes you mentioned regarding configuring the M75 to step through the presets on my Harmony G-XT but it seems that you can only choose to have the M75 control the Harmony ON-OFF or the A-B preset footswitch buttons. It cannot actually step thru the 5 presets using the M75 button. Is this true? Is the only way to move from Preset 1A to 2A to press the preset button?

        Thanks again!

        -GREG-

      • Hiya Greg,

You will need to set the left footswitch to be assigned to “preset selection”. You should then find that mic control affects it and changes presets.

Please let me know if this works for you. If you’re still having trouble, do sing out to our support team at: http://www.tc-helicon.com/support.asp and they’ll be happy to help you :) .

        Best wishes,

        Joey

        Great!

This now works. Thanks for your assistance.

  5. The online presets, how do I get into them? This is my first helicon, and your example shows a multitude of presets, but all I have seen is 10. How do I get to the online presets? Thanks.

  6. Gud mooning. It is bad that there are no instructions and descriptions of your products in Russian. Many people from the CIS which all know Russian use your devices. You could expand considerably sales for this account. Please publish the document in Russian.Excuse for my English. Thanks.

  7. sir
where can i obtain the software to for my recent tc helicon gxt that will
run on my windows 7 64 bit computer as the disk supplied only appears to run on
    XP.
the product is great by thw way

    regards
    peter.

    • Hiya Peter,

Glad to hear you’re enjoying your Harmony-G XT.

To update the firmware on your unit you will need to use the VoiceSupport application. From what you’ve said I’m pretty sure you need to update to the latest version of VoiceSupport. You can download the application via the following link:

      http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicesupport/

When you have done this you should be able to see the update available in the firmware tab.

      Hope this helps!

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  8. Glad to have a utility to backup presets, but why is there no way to edit presets using this software? Don’t you think this would have been a more worthwhile function in the program than a pointless Home button that shows other TC products?! How in 2011 is there not a preset editor as a main feature in this software!!! Who cares about an app that gives you access to presets that you can’t tweak from within the software? Unless I’m missing something and it’s there in some way–I’m very disappointed. Every rinky-dink processor on the planet has some way to edit presets in a more intuitive way than on the actual device except my VoiceLive 2–even the old VoiceLive did!! Extreme waste of time.

  9. First, I want to say that I only learned about TC-Helicon and its products within the past year. And I have to share that I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the products, the level of educational materials for the users, and the added value that continue to be added to its products.

Regarding the VoiceSupport application, it is a wonderful librarian tool for organizing the presets and for making back-ups (and alternate set-ups). But what would make it an even better application is to add the functionality to edit the presets, basically a fully functional editor/librarian. The added editor feature would help take the product to another level of user-friendliness.

Thanks again for a wonderful product and I hope that this suggestion will eventually become a reality.

    Thanks…Jonathan

    • Hiya Jonathan,

Thanks so much for the positive feedback and suggestion. Listening to our users is very important to us and I’ll certainly pass this on to the relevant people for their consideration :) .

Wishing you much continued enjoyment with your TC-Helicon!

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  10. Could the additional online archives be downloaded as archives? So far i get only to drag and drop single presets 1 by one (very long thing to do).
Cant even download archives them on hard disk to load them as an entire.

Also ..I can’t even READ the description of the various archives of the – Online Preset Library-,description is cutted by the voicesupport “windows” ,and the windows cant be moved to read all the description .
    ____________________
An extremely desirable function of voicesupport would be a decent real time
connection with hardware ,(taking example line6 products ) ,
like to edit parameters from pc ,compare 2 different patches wieving the parameters in a single window ,
to understand differences and compare patches on the fly ,and so on,like hearing a patch clicking on that from windows .
With that function ,i bet thousand would come up with interesting patches to share .
Thank You for the update, following info it works

    • about the windows to see info on patches ,it actually could be read .I have just to put voicesupport on full screen and to move the right part to the left ,my apologies i did’nt notice so i correct myself

      • Hiya alexlotta,

Glad you managed to find it :) .

        Best wishes,

        Joey

  11. Thanks for the info Kevin…I’ll try opening it up with my vl2 when I get home

    • IHi, ciao a tutti,

I’ve just download the new version on my Imac running under snow leopeard…When I try to open it..It scratches…too bad…hope it will be fix soon…

    • Hiya Mark,

I’m just wanting to check in with you to see that everything’s working ok for you now and that you’re aware of the new version that’s been released that addresses the issues ( http://www.tc-helicon.com/voicesupport ). Do let me know :) .

      Best wishes,

      Joey

        Hi Joey,

Installed and runs fine with the update however it’s not recognizing my VL2 properly. It shows in the Midi Device List but says it’s not a TCH product. When I scan for devices it says I don’t have one hooked up. I can open reaper and record with it so it is obviously connected. The above info with the VoiceSupport was done without any other software running to prevent issues….it was after I checked Reaper.

I provided the same response on the Voice Coucil Forum for your info….

        Thanks,

        Mark

      • Hiya Mark,

Hmmm that’s strange… I think the best thing to do at this point is to get in touch with TC-Helicon’s support team so they can troubleshoot with you.

Sorry I wasn’t able to help you further this time. Please let me know how you get on so I know you’re definitely recieving help.

I needed to turn “USB Control” to the “On” position for it to sync up. All works fine now!

        Thanks….. :)

        Mark

  12. I should learn to read the comments before I install updates from TC…mine crashes too!

  13. Running PC version on Windows7 64bit. No problems and no crashes here.

  14. Works well for me on MAC.
The previous version was not working while downloading from the voicelive the presets… this new version is working fine for me !
    I have a Voicelive Touch !

    • Heya Ferxel,

Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know :) .

      Best wishes,

      Joey

  15. Mine crashes too when it gets to the “scanning for Midi devices”. PC version using VL2

  16. probably change name preset: popey lives with thinnest you…it’s possible?

    • Hello! are the owner of the Voice Live 2 .. I think the two presets are exchanged … thanks for the reply.
      Best wishes

  17. I cannot get this app to work on my Mac. I’m running 10.6.6 (latest version), and once the app loads up it crashes and a report is sent, presumably to Apple.

Has anyone else had this problem? if so, is a fix on the way?

    • Same as Glenn…

That’s sad. I had hope to finally be able to sync my presets with my Mac.

    • There is an easy work-around – see the comment a few comments up from this one.

  18. Looking forward to VoiceSupport 1.2, but it crashes upon launching the program.

  19. Anyone on mac having luck with this? It installed for me, but is crashing on startup.
I’m on the latest OS, 10.6.6.
    Thanks,
    Matthew
