Lucy Love – Hardcore Effects on the VoiceLive 2
Lucy Love is a Copenhagen based Danish electronic urban pop group. The band started in 2006 and consists of Lucy Love – rapper, singer and songwriter and Yo Akim – producer, composer, drummer and DJ. They released their debut album “Superbillion” in 2009 which was followed by the second album “Kilo” in late 2010. They have performed all over Europe at many different venues and festivals such as YoYo at Notting Hill Arts Club in London, Forte Prenestino in Rome and at the notorious Danish Roskilde Festival on two separate occasions. Their music can be described as a clean soundscape with heavy bass with clear unhidden vocals.
Lucy Love has been using the TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 recently “My producer and band member Yo Akim told me about it and the thought of an all in one voice machine sounded amazing. We are using the VoiceLive 2 mainly on lead vocals to simulate the different processed vocals from our recordings. It has given us many options when performing live because of its huge range of effects.”
We asked Lucy Love which features she found the most useful in the VoiceLive 2 – “There is a great selection of hardcore effects such as autotune, pitch controllers, various vocal transformation options and of course the many harmony/choir possibilities. There are so many possibilities that we wouldn´t know where to start.”
Lucy Love will be performing at festivals in Europe during the summer and will continue their “never ending” Denmark tour. Be sure to catch them at a venue near you soon.
