    Main Prize

    The staff at TC-Helicon will lovingly vote for winners based on quality, creativity, arrangement, talent, great use of your TC-Helicon product, popularity, smoochiness and croon factor.

    The contest runs from February 14th 2011 to March 31st 2011. Winners will be announced shortly after this date.

    Terms and Conditions

    • You are free to enter the competition as many times as you like.
    • All videos must be posted within the time period of the competition (no previously posted videos will be accepted).
    • All videos must contain the use of a TC-Helicon product.
    • All submitted YouTube entries must state TC-Helicon in the video title.
    • By submitting a video you agree to allow TC-Helicon to link to this and use this video for any marketing purpose as deemed necessary.
    • All songs posted must be love songs.
    • Video entries must be submitted by email within the time period specified for the competition. No late entries can be accepted.
    • The competition is open to all users of TC-Helicon product worldwide excluding members of TC-Helicon staff and their relatives.

      • Talk about last minute… got mine in with 15 minutes left. I was working on a new song last night with the VoiceLIve 2 and was having so much fun that I never got around to editing my videos for the contest… and then got busy today. I’m like you, don’t expect to win anything but wanted to show some appreciation for the great product this company is giving us.

    5. this is awful.. i gave up bad quality for lent, but I’m feeling forced to upload another rough draft that i almost have scabbed together. Just can’t get it flawless. The words keep changing with every take and so does the music.

          Thanks for the encouragement Joey.
          I couldn’t believe what I was hearing when I heard the raw vocals from that song I just uploaded. If that mp3 file that came from the camera ever gets heard alongside of the audio that was processed by the VL2, you will have a lot of bad singers clamoring for this gear. My singing has improved over the years, but when you’re just listening to the processed signal, you don’t get the same feedback as you do when you hear your voice. If I ever get the knack for singing properly even though I’m listening to the processor I might have something. This song probably could be good if I produced it better. I’m pretty random as a performer which has advantages and disadvantages. I am amazed when I record someone else or see someone else’s recording and beat for beat they have it down exactly.
          I had some more songs ready, but I accidentally deleted them. Maybe tomorrow I can re-record them.

    7. You state popularity from YouTube – is that determined by how many “hits” on YouTube or how many “thumbs up” on YouTube- or both? The contest rules don’t specify. Thanks

        Popularity is based simply on the number of views on YouTube. However, this is only one aspect that is taken into consideration when TC-Helicon chooses the winners. This alone does not guarantee a win so don’t be discouraged if you’re entering this late in the game :) .

      this is all very exciting! so, would ‘ Imogen Heap’s ‘ ‘ Hide and Seek be considered a love song? hahah! I’m not sure!
      would appreciate a little help.. also, am i correct in believing that we can upload more than one video for this competition?

        Reading though the lyrics to “Hide and Seek” it doesn’t really seem to work as a love song, there are plenty of other options out there though :) .

        Yes, you can definitely enter more than one video into the competition.

    9. I etntered just for fun – but as I am more than one month out in the contest – I guess the popularity aspect in my case can not be boosted. However – now all my friends are asking where to purchase the Helicon….. So I guess the marketing aspect seems to be fullfilled.

    11. Really wish this wasn’t part of the rules…

      I just don’t have time to make a new video right now with a 18 month old in the house and I have a song I did last year that would be perfect (probably wouldn’t win but fits the contest :-) ).
