Live Electronic Vocals – VoiceTone Synth and Far East Movement
For years vocalists in the current genre’s of Dance, Pop,
R&B, Hip-Hop and Rap (to name a few) have been using studio effects to create crazy, hard tuned, vocoded and synthetic sounding vocals. These vocals have become a main feature in several chart topping tracks across recent years and have become a mainstay in several types of modern music and in many cases defining an integral part of a groups sound.
The challenge with this however has largely been how artists could re-create these unique and unnatural vocal sounds easily on the live stage. Well, TC-Helicon has the products to make this a reality without the artist having to depend on computer based effects. It’s no surprise that more and more artists like Far East Movement are choosing TC-Helicon when performing live.
Check out this video from recent chart topping sensation Far East Movement showing the use of VoiceTone Synth and VoiceLive 2 on tour:

I am a solo artist who does old westerns and old country. I’m trying to find a program where the voices don’t follow my guitar. Is that possible. I have a GT-X helicon and I lost the original program when my computer kicked out your program and what I have now does not work. so I need to know what to do. Thank you for a fantastic piece of equipment
Hi Bob,
Both the VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Touch allow you to either follow an instrument or set by key/scale for the harmony function. You can turn the Global Natural Play feature off in the setup menu (ignoring any instrument input) and set each key/scale for the patch you’re using.
Cheers,
Craig
