Daughter’s sound is cavernous, dark and ethereal. And a large part of it is achieved through using effects – on the instruments as well as on Elena Tonra’s voice.
That’s why the up-and-coming indie folk act has been touring with TC-Helicon’s VoiceLive series for the last couple of years. “Using the VoiceLive - making these full-part harmonies or these different kinds of effects - live, we could create a sound that was wider than the three of us human beings,” said Elena when we met up with her prior to the group’s concert in Copenhagen 2016.
